EZ Hot Curried Fruit Recipe

1/2 cup butter

2 tablespoon curry powder

1 cup dark brown sugar

20 oz canned pear halves

20 oz  canned peach halves

20 oz canned pineapple chunks in natural juice

4 oz maraschino cherries

Melt butter in sauce pan.Sprinkle curry powder into butter and let bubble for a minute.Dissolve sugar in butter and a little water if needed. Arrange fruit in baking dish cit side up and pour sauce over and around fruit. Bake at 350 F for 50-60 minutes.

    Does it matter what kind of curry? I love red curry (and expect it would taste best with this) but it doesn’t love me!!

    • I love red curry too but Yellow powder curry works better
      I believe you are talking about red curry paste??????
      Well try with red curry (maybe is even better i dont know.

  6. I’d never have thought to add curry powder to fruit as a dessert before. It sounds interesting and something I’d try just to find out how it tastes.
